When you were shopping for New Haven or Lagrange NY homes the very first time you were looking at places you could call home that needed to suit your lifestyle back then. That might have meant moving in to a single occupancy New Haven or Scarborough condo because you lived alone and needed the luxury of a condo maintenance staff to take care of the up-keeping of your property. Or it might have meant buying a large 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom house because you had a large family and wanted to watch your children grow up in the same house.

Whatever your reasons were back then, they've probably changed by now. Whether this is your second or third home or condo you are shopping for, you have different wants or needs. If you bought a large house the first time but have seen family members fly the coop then you might not need a big house anymore. Or perhaps you're interested in spending your retirement years doing a lot of traveling in which case you won't be around to take care of a house.

Whatever the reason, you might want to consider downsizing to a condo. Selling your home and looking at New Haven or Plano Texas condominiums on the market instead of houses might be in your best interest. You don't need the luxury of space that houses afford you. If it's only you and your wife or husband that will be living in the property why spend all that extra money buying a house that has rooms you won't need?

All you really need is the basic 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo property. There are plenty of New Haven or Liberty Village condos that can offer you want you want or what you need. Plus condos come with so many features that houses don't. Such as maintenance staffs who will take care of any repairs plus shovel the sidewalk in the winter, in-door parking, entertainment rooms, pool tables, swimming pools and an in house gym.

Downsizing to a condominium in Toronto or New Haven is an option you must consider if your kids have moved away or you're entering your retirement years. It can get pretty lonely living in a house meant for 6 when there's only 2 of you living there. So, meet with a real estate agent, tell them your situation, and let them know that the condo lifestyle might just be for you.
